When the word "Fraternity" is said, it is usually associated with the word "Frat." When you think of a fraternity, the following stereotypes may come to mind: hazing, parties, binge drinking, drugs, poor academics, and Animal House.\All fraternities are seeking to combat the "Animal House" stereotype that surrounds Greek Life. Fraternities were founded on the principles of personal growth, character, and academic development. In an effort to return to this noble fraternal existence, Pi Kapps strive to be Men of CLASS by upholding the principles of Character, Leadership, Academics, Sportsmanship, and Service. Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity sets itself apart as the only national fraternity to own and operate its own philanthropy organization, PUSH America. Through volunteering with Push America, brothers make it a point to serve and improve the quality of life for others who are not as fortunate. At Pi Kappa Phi, we understand that your son is in college primarily to receive an education and being in a fraternity should not interfere with your son's collegiate experience, but rather complement it.

What makes Pi Kappa Phi different from other male groups on campus is that we not only hold our affiliation with The College at Brockport and have to meet campus standards, but we have a national organization of Pi Kappa Phi that oversees our operation. In turn, we have many checks and balances that have been put into place that make every action we do under the microscope.

At Pi Kappa Phi, we don't look at this "microscope" as a bad thing; on the contrary, this close eye on our day-to-day operation makes the great things we do noticed and appreciated by Pi Kappa Phi National, The College at Brockport, and the entire community of Brockport, NY.
